Damage control

Part II of III

Attention Bride:

Plans aren’t going exactly as you would have hoped. Your bridesmaids decided they want a different dress, different colors, different shoes, different everything! You want to be nice, but sometimes you just aren’t up to being nice.

Now is the time to take a step back, breathe, and continue reading.

1.      Don’t panic. Remember: this is your special day. No matter what happens, you are going to get married. You are going to walk down the aisle, face the man of your dreams and say I do. No one can take that away from you.

2.      Be flexible. Even though you have been planning the wedding of your dreams since you were six, you may have to compromise. Keep an open mind. Life happens. There are lots of ways to fix a messy situation. Call your bridal consultant and explain the situation, she can help more than you know!

3.      Be respectful. You want things your way. But keep in mind the feelings of the women you have chosen to share this day with you. Keep words kind and know that in the end, it all works out for the best.

4.      You are the final say. Ultimately, this is your day, so stand your ground on having it your way. Let your bridesmaids know that their feelings are important to you, but you would really appreciate their cooperation to make this day special for you and Mr. Right.

5.      No one knows. You are the only person that can see that the bridesmaid dresses are black and were supposed to be navy blue, and the flowers are wrapped with white instead of ivory ribbon. If that is on your mind, you will think that everyone is looking at the flaws. In reality, you are the only one who knows what is supposed to happen. Your guests don’t know the difference. They will be looking at the beaming bride walk toward the man of her dreams and join their lives in love. Just enjoy your day!

Good luck! If you need anything, give a call to Alicia’s Bridal Shoppe! We are willing to help you as much as we can. Stay calm, keep breathing and remember…

You’re getting married!
